New House , Milngavie, Glasgow

This new detached house in the Milngavie area of Glasgow was built on the site of a much smaller bungalow that was demolished as part of the project. The sloping site had poor ground conditions and had to be piled before casting the beam foundations. Steel goal post frames were used to provide an open plan feeling to the ground and upper floors. A very high standard of insulation was installed in the floors, walls and roof to reduce the running costs of the home.  Internal doorsets were by Comeca of Italy, external doorsets by Kloeber of Germany and 5 metre wide , two section, aluminium sliding patio doors sourced in the UK.

Garage and Office Polloksheilds, Glasgow

This project was a design and build project for the client in an conservation area of Polloksheilds. We had to comply with requirements of historic Scoltland in designing the two car garage and office space on the ground floor and Art Studio on the upper floor. To maximise the internal space available our engineers designed a steel framed structure with timber infill panels to meet current building standards for insulation.
